Which airports are best when flying from the United States?

Direct flights from the United States typically arrive into Dublin Airport or Shannon Airport. From Shannon, you can hire a car or take a connecting bus to Killarney. From Dublin, you have multiple direct rail and coach options to Killarney, rental cars, or connecting domestic flights directly into Kerry Airport (Farranfore), which is just 20 minutes from Killarney.

Will there be group transport organised from the airport?

Yes! If you share your flight details with us ahead of time, we will organise group buses for family members arriving around the same time into Shannon, Dublin or Killarney airports.

How are we travelling from Killarney to Cahersiveen?

A bus will be organised to bring everyone directly to Cahersiveen together, making it stress-free to reach our accommodation on the Iveragh Peninsula.

How will transport work during our stay?

Buses and taxis will be coordinated throughout the trip for group activities and dinners so nobody has to worry about driving every day.

For anything outside of these, local taxis can easily be arranged.

Accommodation in Cahersiveen has been selected to be located in Cahersiveen town to allow easy walking access to town ammenities. 

Can I easily book a taxi in Killarney?

Yes, local taxis in Killarney can be arranged directly through the reception team at The Europe Hotel & Resort. The Hotel also has a bus dedicated to transporting their guests, which may be an option depending on availability. Please note that Uber is not very popular and only calls liscenced taxis. If you are in town, any pub can help you call a taxi or the hotel can arrange pick-up. There is also a taxi rank in Killarney.

How do local taxis work in Cahersiveen?

Taxis in Cahersiveen are scarce and should always be pre-booked in advance. Cahersiveen does not have Uber. Local drivers you can contact directly include Maureen (+353 87 276 6765), Tommy (+353 87 244 0207), and Kevin (+353 87 680 0748).
